With nearly 2 decades of experience in the beauty industry, Karen Yiu is a celebrated makeup artist to the stars, with a sparkling portfolio of clientele in the Fashion, Editorial, and Bridal industries. She's worked with brands such as Chanel, Cartier, Givenchy, and Nike, as well as celebrated icons, celebrities and photographers around the world.
Known for her versatility, artistry and finesse, Karen founded the HK Makeup Artist Academy, where many aspiring artists have graduated to become experts in their field. She has hand-selected her best and brightest to form the wonderful MakeupBees team.

Having worked at iconic luxury brands such as Tiffany’s and Harry Winston, our co-founder Jean Han is all about providing first-class experiences, and innately understands outstanding customer service.

NICOLE LAU, ARTIST
Nicole Lau has obtained an international certificate of Media Makeup from CIBTAC as well as an INFA makeup certificate from in 2015.
She has done various makeup artistry projects, including working with socialites, portraits, editorials and commercials. Nicole has also worked on local and overseas weddings. She believes that a bride should express their own kind of beauty and be timeless, chic and classy.
Lau has worked with with Hong Kong Tatler, Harry Winston, AmFar, Cartier and Elle Magazine.
GLOOMY KWOK, ARTIST
Gloomy studied International Therapy Examination Council Diploma in Fashion, Theatre and Media Makeup since 2005. He is specialized in commercial and editorial hair and makeup. His works has published in HK Tatler, Macau Tatler, China Vogue, Prestige Magazine, Vogue Italia, Men’s Uno, Elle Magazine, Marie Claire Magazine and SCMP.
Gloomy is the specialist in men’s grooming.
CINDY LAI, ARTIST
Cindy started studying makeup under Hong Kong Makeup Artist academy in 2017. During that time, she traveled to Austria to study body and face paint. Cindy has worked on numerous fashion shows and editorials with brands such as Marie Claire, Hong Kong Tatler, Prestige, Zip and Jet Magazine. She also specializes in bridal hair and makeup.
